A Call For Information Regarding Assistive Technology
Over the past years I have had the privilege of defending/representing a variety of nationwide and New Jersey schools/districts, universities, educators, employers (including lawyers/law firms and health care institutions) and working with the judiciary in dealing with hearings and trials and disabilities.
As someone with a long time hearing disability I have always been interested in how best to use tools and assistive methodologies and technologies as an educator/institution or as an employer – and especially in the difficult backdrop of being a Judge or trial advocate.
Current Research
I am currently doing research with Brian S. Friedlander, PhD (author of Asssistive Technology: What Every Educator Needs to Know and a professional consultant in the assistive technology field) in these areas and focusing upon the education, claims and legal communities. Eventually we will write on the topic and include a resource bibliography to help those with interests or concerns in this field.
A Call For Information & Guidance
I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to the broader community and see if others have information, suggestions or resources in this important field. If you do, please call our office at 973.509.7500 or email me at scott.murphy@garritygraham.com and share. It definitely does take a village.
Thank you,
