Our lawyers have a proven track record of handling issues relating to delay, acceleration, disruption, inefficiency, cumulative impacts and claims for errors and omissions by design professionals who fail to properly coordinate construction drawings. We have represented contractors in disputes with the Federal Government, including the US Army Corps of Engineers (“USACE”) involving a Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) and other issues under The Contract Disputes Act.
Our experience includes all aspects of the bidding process, how to protest a bid, issues relating to labor and prevailing wage claims, and the impact projects can have on a contractor’s ability to obtain bonds. Our litigation experience has involved construction disputes arising out of the development of schools, libraries, firehouses, parks, recreational facilities, condominium projects, residential developments, among other projects. Recent settlements have included an $1,200,000 payment by a New Jersey municipality for the wrongful termination of a contractor on a public project and a substantial settlement with the United States Army Corp.
